Collaborations


The Varvello, always focused on innovation, has maintained a series of collaborations with research centres, not only of universities, in order to develop their products, improve service to its customers and, last but not least, contribute to the dissemination and development of a corporate culture more and more aware of its social role and the need for ethics.
For a long time the company relies on the collaboration with IASMA (Istituto Agrario San Michele all'Adige) for research on vinegars, wines and musts used and, for chemical analysis, with UIV (Unione Italiana Vini) above all to create a database that can help determine the origin of both wines and musts.
Recently Varvello started a fruitful collaboration with the Università di Scienze Gastronomiche di Pollenzo, to develop a research project aimed at validating the shelf life (scientific validation of long-term preservation) for its products, especially the cream/glaze based on Balsamic Vinegar of Modena I.G.P. This project also involved the Facoltà di Agraria dell’Università di Agraria di Torino, as a university providing technological support for the execution of specific researches (analytical tests, instrumental and panel tests) on products. Then Varvello also relies, for the search and selection of qualified staff in the wine filed, on the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Turin and the Oenology School of Alba. Another recent collaboration is that recently started with CReSO - Consorzio di Ricerca, Sperimentazione e Divulgazione per l’Ortofrutticoltura Piemontese, aimed at the study of biological control of Drosophila suzukii, an insect highly injurious to fruit crops. Last but not least, we started a collaboration with the Associazione Italiana Food Style Education and its great chefs, to promote the culture of wine vinegar and vinegar-based seasonings. The vinegars employed are Varvello vinegars exclusively!

In 2009 the Varvello adhered to the Census of the Enteprise Archives and currently the company relies on the Foundation for the management of its business communication and image. The first fruit of this cooperation is the site you're now visiting.
