Wine vinegar is rich in vitamins (A, C, B1 and B2) and mineral salts such as phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and iron. But above all, it is poor in calories: only 5 per 100 grams, therefore it is perfect to add flavour without causing weight gains problems.
It is an ancient seasoning: it is already named in the Bible and in the Chronicles of Pliny and Hippocrates recommended it for treating wounds and respiratory disorders.
A water and vinegar-based solution was a traditional grandmother's natural remedy to soothe inflamed gums; to soothe migraine the wine vinegar was massaged on temples and it was also used to disinfect insect bites and to obtain shiny and silky hair.
To fight fatigue just add 1/2 litre vinegar to the water in the bathtub and a glass of water with a tablespoon of vinegar and a teaspoon of honey, drunk in the morning, is very healthy.
